Terms of Service

Clear terms for building explainable decisions.

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the RuleOps website, application, APIs, and related services.

Last updated: July 14, 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using RuleOps, you agree to these terms. If you use RuleOps for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” includes that organization. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

RuleOps provides tools for creating, testing, publishing, evaluating, and auditing business rules. Features may change as the service develops. We may improve, add, remove, or limit features, and may offer preview or beta functionality with additional conditions.

3. Accounts and authorized use

  • You must provide accurate account information and keep it current.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding credentials, API keys, and activity under your account.
  • You must notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • You may use RuleOps only in compliance with applicable laws and these terms.

4. Customer content

You retain ownership of the rules, data, inputs, outputs, and other content you submit to RuleOps. You grant us a limited right to host, process, transmit, and display that content only as necessary to provide, secure, support, and improve the service. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to submit and process your content.

5. Acceptable use

You may not:

  • Use RuleOps for unlawful, fraudulent, harmful, or abusive activity.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data.
  • Interfere with service integrity, bypass limits, or introduce malicious code.
  • Reverse engineer the service except where applicable law expressly permits it.
  • Use RuleOps to make decisions prohibited by law or without required human review and safeguards.

6. High-impact decisions

RuleOps is a configurable decision-support tool. You are responsible for the rules you publish, the data you provide, the decisions you make, and any legally required notices, testing, approvals, oversight, or appeal processes. You should independently validate rules before using them in production, especially for regulated or high-impact use cases.

7. Fees and changes

Some access may be offered without charge during an early-access period. If paid plans are introduced, pricing and billing terms will be presented before charges apply. We may change pricing prospectively with reasonable notice where required.

8. Intellectual property

RuleOps and its software, design, documentation, and trademarks are owned by RuleOps or its licensors. Except for the limited right to use the service under these terms, no rights are transferred to you. Feedback may be used to improve RuleOps without restriction or payment.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using RuleOps at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms, create a security or legal risk, or fail to pay applicable fees. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

10. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, RuleOps is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or that every rule or output will be error-free. To the extent permitted by law, neither party will be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

11. Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will apply prospectively, and the updated date will appear above. Questions can be sent through the support channel associated with your RuleOps account or to the representative who provided your access.
