Privacy Policy
Your data should be as explainable as your decisions.
This Privacy Policy explains what information RuleOps collects, why we use it, and the choices available to people who use our website and product.
Last updated: July 14, 2026
1. Scope
This policy applies to the RuleOps website, application, APIs, and related services. It does not cover third-party products that you connect to RuleOps or websites that operate under their own privacy notices.
2. Information we collect
We collect information in three main ways:
- Information you provide: account details, workspace information, onboarding responses, support requests, and other content you submit.
- Workspace content: rule definitions, reference data, simulations, decision inputs and outputs, audit events, and integration settings.
- Technical information: device and browser details, IP address, timestamps, pages viewed, authentication events, error logs, and service usage data.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, secure, maintain, and improve RuleOps.
- Create accounts and workspaces, authenticate users, and manage access.
- Evaluate rules, preserve version history, and produce decision traces and audit records.
- Respond to support requests and communicate important service updates.
- Detect abuse, investigate incidents, and comply with legal obligations.
- Analyze product performance using aggregated or de-identified information where practical.
4. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us host, secure, operate, analyze, or support RuleOps. These providers may process information only for the services they perform for us. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets subject to appropriate safeguards.
5. Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet contractual and legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security and audit integrity. Retention periods vary by data type. Some backups and immutable audit records may remain for a limited period after an account or workspace is deleted.
6. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Customers are responsible for protecting their credentials and configuring workspace access appropriately.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export certain personal information, or to object to particular uses. You can update some account information in RuleOps. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and some information may be retained where legally permitted or required.
8. International processing
RuleOps and its service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, we use recognized safeguards for international transfers.
9. Children
RuleOps is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as RuleOps evolves. We will post the revised version here and update the date above. Questions or privacy requests can be sent through the support channel associated with your RuleOps account or to the representative who provided your access.
